The Schools Nurture Programme helps create inclusive environments where LGBTQ+ students and allies feel represented, respected and supported within their school communities.

Creating Inclusive School Communities

Delivered in partnership with Cheshire West and Chester Council, the programme provides opportunities for students to learn, connect and participate in positive discussions around LGBTQ+ identities and experiences.

What Students Take Part In

Creative Activities

Students participate in crafts and creative projects designed to encourage engagement and expression.

LGBTQ+ History and Representation

Sessions introduce positive role models, historical figures and significant moments in LGBTQ+ history.

Identity and Inclusion Discussions

Activities encourage understanding, respect and inclusion within school environments.

Supporting Students and Allies

The programme is open to LGBTQ+ students and allies, helping create inclusive spaces where everyone feels welcome.

Safe Lunchtime Sessions

Groups take place during lunchtime within participating schools.

Building Understanding and Respect

Sessions encourage positive conversations around inclusion and diversity.

Working With Schools Across the Region

We work with schools across Chester and surrounding areas to help strengthen inclusion and representation for LGBTQ+ students.
