As a founding member of the charity I bring stability and over 20 years of event planning, management and visionary planning to ensure Chester Pride continues to represent all members of our community.

Why I serve

"I have dedicated my time since the age of 18 (23 years) on the scene at many venues, and of course Pride.  As the only existing founding member, my time has neem given to make sure there is a safe space for all to come to and celebrate, educate and strive for better. We are all as one united voice against hate."

Michael brings over 17 years of operational and HR leadership experience from within the financial services sector , where he also led internal LGBTQ+ employee networks. He is committed to strengthening governance, championing inclusion, and ensuring Chester Pride continues to grow as a safe, visible, and empowering platform for the community.

Vice Chair & Digital Media Coordinator

Wes been with Chester Pride over eight years starting in the fundraising team and transitioned to digital media Coordinating following covid-19 where he started "Chester Pridecast" podcast. Wes has worked on many projects within the organisation from event management to painting the LGBTQ+ inspired murals at The Rainbow Tearooms.  He is committed to understanding the needs of our community and strives to deliver a impactful and safe events.

Jill spent many years as a ward councillor for Chester City and then Cheshire West and Chester Council. She attended the launch of the diversity and inclusion campaign and of the first Chester Pride. Jill bring many years of experience in safeguarding and scrutiny.

Zianna is an author, educator, creative practitioner, LGBTQIA+ advocate, and experienced charity trustee whose work centres on inclusion, identity, resilience, and community.

"I bring lived experience, leadership experience, and practical teaching insight to my writing, public speaking, and advocacy work. As a trustee, I am committed to challenging prejudice and helping build safer, kinder spaces for everyone."
